ASTRID: Accurate Species Trees from Internode Distances

Incomplete lineage sorting, modelled by the multi-species coalescent, is known to create discordance between gene trees and species trees, and lead to inaccurate species tree estimations unless appropriate methods are used to estimate the species tree. ASTRID is an accurate and extremely fast method for estimating species trees from gene trees under the multi-species coalescent. We will show results demonstrating ASTRID's performance on various simulated and biological data sets, and give a brief demonstration of how to use ASTRID.
