Please note that for CS 581 Fall 2022, we will not have any in-person lectures. Office hours will be held outdoors rather than indoors (but also by zoom). Therefore, the language provided by the University of Illinois about on-campus instruction and guidelines for students specifically about face coverings in classrooms is not exactly immediately relevant to this course.

On the other hand, we will have meetings that take place in person, but these will be outdoors. Please follow the guidelines given below from the university about how to handle any kind of illness, exposure to COVID-19, etc. Please do not come to office hours if you are not completely well. That means in particular that if you test positive or have been exposed to COVID-19, do not attend the in person office hours.

Note that this course has a required in-person activity where you will meet with me to present your course project proposal. This will be done outdoors if at all possible.
